End of the job! Looking for new job!

It has been awhile but I’m back! Got word today that my company is pretty much toast. The decision coming from the buyout is to keep the “book of business” and let everything else go. With that, a good number of people lost their jobs today and no new business will occur. everyone got a “packet” with their drop dead dates today. As for me, I’ve got till middle of December. So time for a serious job search. Joy.

WoW update

I’m back with WoW. We’re now on another server, Khadgar. We’ve joined an established giuild there with old friends of some of our little group. I’ve created 2 characters, a Tauren Druid named Donnerschlag and an Undead Death Knight named Saranthalasa. The Druid is my main with the group and guild and the DK is for soloing and fooling around.

Not Dead Yet!

I’m still here. Plugging away at work in the dungeon. Yeah, they keep me in a dungeon! Anyway, I’m still crossing my fingers to hold onto this job while I look for another. We’re apparently being sold finally to help the “parent company” clear its debts. Unfortunately, there was a report from an exec at the new company saying the would “see” what they keep and there would be cuts! So now I’m transitioning to a new role and working that, while still doing my entire old job and the new one. All this is taking place while the merger of five companies is happening, while the separation of all of these from the “parent” company is happening, all with a sale to a new company is happening in which any one of these may go to heck!!! My brain hurts!

Ok, on the gaming front, I’m still in WoW. Although friends I used to play with when I had time are now on a new server. So I am now on the Khadgar server with a noobie Tauren Druid (Donnerschlag) and an undead Death Knight (Saranthalasa). Yeah, I just recycled names. Anyway, I plan to play the Druid as my main since I’ve never actually played a Druid…at all! Hopefully I’ll be able to get more time to group with friends and to relax!

Finally, on the hockey front, the Thrashers failed to make the playoffs. I know, unbelievable right? (sarcasm dripping there) They did manage to play well the last month or two so hopefully that will translate to next year. The big questions now are what happens in the off season, who they draft, and will they show up next year…for the whole season! As for the Stanley Cup, anyone but Pittsburgh and Detroit is fine. I guess I’ll follow Boston and cheer for them. So, GO BRUINS!

Gone Missing

Well, I’ve been absent for a bit from posting.  Between work and life happenings things have been busy and bad.  I’ll try and post more as time permits

After Holidays

I haven’t posted in a bit due to the holidays and work.  But I’ll try and start posting more often now.

Anyway, this weekend the WoW group went back to EQ2 to join another who prefers EQ2 to WoW.  I started up a Fae Templar.  Good thing on starting a Fae too as I kept falling off Kelethin (gotta get the right settings going to get around some lag issues)!  We also had a Dwarf Guardian, Wood Elf Fury, Fae Wizard, Fae Dirge, and a Ratonga betraying to a Ranger.

It was a good time, albeit getting interrupted with “on-call” support from work sucked.  Bleh!  It was good to see EQ2 again and revisit Norrath.  I’ll get some links and screenshots up as soon as I can.  Looking forward to more play time with the group!

WoW Sunday

Finally got a chance to get back in WoW this previous Sunday.  It was great to get in with the old group (Icow, Vespenathran, Renille, and Sharr)!  They are always alot of fun.  Also, thanks  to them for helping my catch back up, which got my Rogue to 67!  Thanks all!

Thrashers Stink!

Well, the Thrashers are now officially last in the league.  Insert sadness here.  They are playing lousy right now and can’t put together a full three periods to save their lives.  How can the same thing be happening for 9 years?  Oi Vey!

Turkey day!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, so Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!!

The Lich King has come!

Wrath of the Lich King is now released.  Masses of people are extremely happy now.  It’ll be interesting to see the new lands, character, and story.  Not sure if I’ll get it yet, as we’re still just 60 and hitting Outlands with the current group, but I am intrigued.  It should open up some more space in Outlands though, with many hitting Northrend.
