Not Dead Yet!
I’m still here. Plugging away at work in the dungeon. Yeah, they keep me in a dungeon! Anyway, I’m still crossing my fingers to hold onto this job while I look for another. We’re apparently being sold finally to help the “parent company” clear its debts. Unfortunately, there was a report from an exec at the new company saying the would “see” what they keep and there would be cuts! So now I’m transitioning to a new role and working that, while still doing my entire old job and the new one. All this is taking place while the merger of five companies is happening, while the separation of all of these from the “parent” company is happening, all with a sale to a new company is happening in which any one of these may go to heck!!! My brain hurts!
Ok, on the gaming front, I’m still in WoW. Although friends I used to play with when I had time are now on a new server. So I am now on the Khadgar server with a noobie Tauren Druid (Donnerschlag) and an undead Death Knight (Saranthalasa). Yeah, I just recycled names. Anyway, I plan to play the Druid as my main since I’ve never actually played a Druid…at all! Hopefully I’ll be able to get more time to group with friends and to relax!
Finally, on the hockey front, the Thrashers failed to make the playoffs. I know, unbelievable right? (sarcasm dripping there) They did manage to play well the last month or two so hopefully that will translate to next year. The big questions now are what happens in the off season, who they draft, and will they show up next year…for the whole season! As for the Stanley Cup, anyone but Pittsburgh and Detroit is fine. I guess I’ll follow Boston and cheer for them. So, GO BRUINS!
